This painting is one of the larger works that form part of a series inspired by the countryside covered in flowers, berries and abundant bush food after a good fall of rain. Gracie's traditional country, Mosquito Bore some 263 kms north of Alice Springs is a major dreaming site for the Bush Plum (a prostrate plant) which is abundant there and an important food source as it is high in vitamin C.
All this body of work is full of colour although each painting is different with the various colours used in the delicate dotting. The background of this painting is black and the fine delicate dotting includes different shades of yellow, red and brown ochres, soft greys and white colours contributing to its joyful presence.
