Cooking Goanna by Judda 35x35cm FJ459JUD

Two beautifully depicted goannas float around the surface of the painting.

The central concentric circle symbolises the campfire where hunters, represented by the U shapes gathered to cook Goanna. The background colours and strong iconography is classic of paintings by artist Judda.

He is of the Kokatha language group, whose country extends north of Port Augusta, bounded by Lake Torrens to the east.
