Linda views the movie, "E.T." through the eyes of an aboriginal person. To her, E.T. is an aboriginal spirit with his own family. The family live a long way from Earth, beyond the moon and stars, like in Heaven. This is E.T.'s nephew, Charlie, in his own setting, in his own Country.

Linda incorporates contemporary events into the Dreaming. Everything is interconnected and related. For her that spirit beings come to earth and contribute to great events and then leave their mark, is quite logical and fits into what she believes to be real. Influenced by the movie ET, having seen it 20 times, Linda's fascination with this movie sparked her empathy with ET longing to return home captured in a series of paintings. ET is a fellow spirit being and she understood that spirit beings return home after a period on earth.
