In this painting Linda is recalling childhood memories of the time when she lived near Lake Mackay in the Gibson Desert (1937 - 1948).
The concentric circle is the great salt lake of Lake MacKay. This is her father and grandfather’s ancestral country. The U shapes are two men, Tjapaltjarri and Tjungarrayi who belong to the Emu and Kangaroo Dreaming.
The figure on the left represents the spirit of the Emu Man and the figure on the right represents the spirit of the Kangaroo Man.
