Minyilpa 2008 by Ann (Frances) Nowee Napaltjarri depicts her mother's country Nynmi on the Canning Stock Route in the Great Sandy Desert. The country is centered around Minyilpa Warniri (rockhole) and the central circle indicates Minyilpa. Ann's mother would walk between these places collecting seeds and hunting for bushtucker.

Frances Ann is of the Kukatja language group. She was born in 1964 at Tjalyuwang, one of the remote mission sites which was established before the Catholic mission was finally established at Wirrimanu (Balgo). She is the eldest daughter of senior Law man and recognised artist Brandy Tjungurrayi.

She lives in Balgo with her husband and two sons. She started painting in the mid 1990s and paints the Tjukurrpa (Dreaming) stories passed on to her from her mother and father.

She has exhibited widely and state collections include the Art Gallery of Western Australia and Artbank.
