'This is a significant painting and has been heralded as one of Billy Benn's most beautiful works, by those who know his painting well. Hung in the Desert Mob show 2001, the painting generated much excitement amongst the Alice Springs community. The painting evokes that of Turner and his images of chaotic wind swept oceans, and though depicting the hill tops of Haasts Range Way, it reminds us of the great inland sea which once existed here, in Central Australia'.
