Marilyn paints the leaves and flowers of the bush yam that become adundant after rainfall in the desert.
The tubers of this plant are an important source of food and the yam-related dreaming plays an important part in Anmatyerre cultural expression.
Born in 1980 in Utopia from a distinguished painting family, Marilyn Golder is Polly Ngale's grandaughter. She shares kinship related responsibilities with Emily Kame Kngwarreye and owns the same yam dreaming.
