This painting represents the Winparrku/Yumari area where Mitjili was born and grew up. Mitjili’s story about this painting also includes a site called Kunamara which is the soakage where her father was speared.
Yumari and Wirnparrku areas, are where people are hunting for lots of different bush foods - bush tomatoes and wild turkey. People are gathering their babies and running high up the cliff edges and protecting themselves.

When Miltjili was a young girl, her aunties would tell her stories about her country and the Jukurrpa or Dreaming stories associated with Mina Mina, a sacred site for Napanangka’s and Napangardi’s.
